ARM5 series plastic case circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as circuit breaker) is the latest new product developed by our company. Its design reflects the latest current limiting principle and manufacturing technology, and has the characteristics of small and compact, modular, high breaking, zero flying arc, green and environmental protection. The circuit breaker is suitable for connecting, breaking and carrying rated current in circuits with dry AC 50Hz/60Hz, rated insulation voltage of 1000V, maximum rated working voltage of 690V, rated current of 32A-630A, and can provide reliable protection for lines and power-using equipment in case of overload, short circuit and under-voltage. It can also be used as infrequent starting and overload, short-circuit and under-voltage protection for motors. The circuit breaker can be installed vertically (i.e., vertical installation), horizontally (i.e., horizontal installation), and also down into the line. The circuit breaker has an isolation function and its corresponding symbol: "”。
Main functions and features
Pneumatic protection device
In case of short circuit and large current in the circuit, the gas in the contact unit box will be rapidly pressurized, and the pneumatic protection device will quickly pull the operating mechanism to lock under strong air pressure, greatly reducing the damage of short circuit current to other electrical components and buses. | Magnetic blowout design: the current flows through the fixed contact to generate an electromagnetic source, which forms an annular magnetic field with the iron core. The arc quickly enters the arc extinguishing chamber under the action of the magnetic field, which is conducive to quickly break the current. |
The reasonable structure design of moving and fixed contacts makes the short circuit peak value and energy I²t in the protection circuit of this series of products far less than the expected value. | |
Working principle: the current flows in from the fixed contact 1, flows out from the fixed contact 2 through the moving and fixed silver contact and the moving contact. The moving contact quickly disconnects under the action of strong electric repulsion force (Holm force and Lorentz force) to improve the breaking speed. | |
Air blowing design: when short circuit and large current occur in the circuit, gas producing parts produce gas under the high temperature of the arc, the air pressure in the contact unit box increases rapidly, and high-speed air flow can be formed through the air outlet of the arc extinguishing chamber, which can effectively extinguish the arc. |
Ⅰ. Ambient air temperature of -5℃ ~ +40℃.
Ⅱ. The altitude of the installation site does not exceed 2000m.
Ⅲ. The relative humidity of the air at the installation site does not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is possible at lower temperatures, e.g. up to 90% at 20°C. Special measures shall be taken for occasional condensation due to temperature changes.
Ⅳ. A pollution class of 3.
Ⅴ. The circuit breaker is required by test IEC60947-2 to withstand mechanical vibration with a frequency of 2 Hz to 13.2 Hz, displacement of ±1 mm and a frequency of 13.2 Hz to 100 Hz and acceleration of ±0.7 g.
Ⅵ. The installation category of the main circuit of the circuit breaker is Ⅲ, and the installation category of the remaining auxiliary circuits and control circuits is Ⅱ.
Ⅶ. The circuit breaker is suitable for electromagnetic environment A.
Ⅷ. The circuit breaker of the damp heat belt type (TH type) passes the test requirements of IEC60947-2 and GB/T2423.18 and can withstand the influence of humid air, salt spray, oil mist and mould.
Ⅸ. The circuit breaker shall be installed in a place free from explosion hazards and conductive dust, and free from places sufficient to corrode metal and destroy insulation
Ⅹ. The circuit breaker shall be installed in a place free from rain or snow.
Ⅺ. Storage conditions: ambient air temperature of -25℃ ~ +70℃.

Note: When the temperature is lower than 50℃, capacity reduction is not considered.
When the ambient temperature is 40℃ at an altitude greater than 2000m, the decoupling characteristics will change considering the insulation characteristics and cooling capacity of air and should be corrected, see table.
