Injection mould manufacturersThe temperature within the cavity is not uniform at all points and is also related to the point in time during the injection cycle. After injection, the cavity temperature rises to a maximum, at which point the hot melt hits the cold wall of the cavity and drops to a minimum when the part is removed. The function of the die is to keep the temperature constant between 2min and 2max. This means that temperature differences are prevented from fluctuating up and down during production and between gaps. The following control methods are suitable for controlling the temperature of the die: Controlling the fluid temperature, the most commonly used method, is controlled with the accuracy required for many applications. In this control method, the temperature displayed on the controller does not correspond to the mould temperature; the temperature of the mould fluctuates considerably.
The thermal factors affecting the mould are not compensated by direct measurement of the variation in injection cycle, injection speed, melt temperature, room temperature etc. Next is the direct control of the mould temperature. This method involves embedding a temperature sensor inside the mould and is only used when the accuracy of the mould temperature control is required to be high. The main feature of mould temperature control is that the set temperature of the controller corresponds to the mould temperature; the thermal factors affecting the mould can be directly measured and compensated for. The stability of the mould temperature is usually better than controlling the fluid temperature. In addition, mould temperature control has good repeatability in the control of the production process. Thirdly, joint control. Joint control allows simultaneous control of fluid and mould temperatures through a combination of the above methods.
In integrated control, the position of the temperature sensor in the mould is very important. The shape and structure as well as the position of the cooling channels must be taken into account when installing the temperature sensor. In addition, the temperature sensor must be placed in a place that is decisive for the quality of the injection moulded product.
There are many ways to connect one or more moulds to the injection moulding machine controller. Injection mould manufacturers want to use a digital interface for reasons of operability, reliability and resistance to interference. Information can be passed between the control unit and the injection moulding machine via software. The thermostat can also be controlled automatically.
