1、According to the nature of the process

2、By process combination 


(1) Single process die A die in which the punch only completes one stamping process in one stroke.


(2) Compound die with only one work station. In one stroke of the punch, the same station can complete two or more punching processes at the same time.


(3) A progressive die (also called a continuous die) has two or more stations in the direction of the feed of the blank. In one stroke of the press, two or more passes are completed one after the other at different stations. A die used for the above-mentioned stamping process.

II. Mould design 


1, material direction research (product materials, mould materials).

3、The position and quantity of guide pins are sufficient. 


4、Whether the rebound of the waste is considered and whether the feeding of the mould is smooth. 


5、Whether the monitor and waste rebound sensor are designed. 


6、The correct choice of positioning plates and floating pins. 


7、Is the number, size and position of the bolts (including the unloading bolts) selected properly. 


8、Consider the punching force and select the punching head.
