Universal circuit breakers are often referred to as frame breakers, universal circuit breaker manufacturers because they are encased in a frame, which is still common today. During the use of universal circuit breakers, sometimes the main contacts do not close when they are closed or break on their own, causing some unnecessary damage.

The reasons for this may be the following. 

(1) Due to the energy release coil often passing high currents, the coil overheats and operates unstably. 

(2) Due to the relay being in a high voltage state for a long time, the contact surface is oxidised and the contact resistance becomes too high for the contact to work properly. 

(3) As the stator and rotor in the motor are misaligned and rubbing against each other, a lot of heat is generated, resulting in unstable motor speed or even shutdown, resulting in the universal circuit breaker not working properly.

Generally speaking, for the above phenomenon, the common solution is: after the relay contacts are oxidized, you can remove the relay cover and polish each contact with sandpaper. After reinstallation, the universal circuit breaker works stably. If there is friction between the rotor and stator, the rotor bearing is found to be tilted. Simply rack the bearings, fix them, fit the cover plate and test, and everything will return to normal.
